The current fee recommended by the Australian Psychological Society is $311 for a 46-60 minute consultation with a psychologist.

The approximate estimated time for a psychological and educational assessment is as follows:

Initial Consultation – 30-45 mins

Intellectual Assessment – 90 mins

Educational Assessment – 90 mins

Report Preparation – 150-180 mins

Subsequent Consultation – 45-60 mins

Psychological and educational assessments are not covered by Medicare.

Some private health insurers offer a rebate depending on your level of cover. You will need to contact your private health insurer to enquire whether you can claim for the assessment.

Your child does not need a referral from your GP or any other professional to access our services.

We work with self-managed and plan managed clients only. Butterfly Psychology for Kids is not a registered NDIS provider and we work with children aged 6 to 16 years of age.
