She completed a Diploma of Education with a major in School Psychology in 1997. Following the completion of her studies, Vanessa has worked in the private school sector in the role of a psychologist and in leadership positions.
Vanessa began her private practice, Butterfly Psychology for Kids because she is passionate about helping support parents achieve the best educational and life outcomes for their child. The Butterfly is a symbol of transformation, hope, and endurance. Vanessa is committed to support you to help nurture your child’s abilities so that they can successfully navigate life and be happy and confident individuals.
As a mother of three children herself, Vanessa understands how challenging and overwhelming it can feel as a parent when you have a child who requires additional support. Her 12-year-old son has been diagnosed with Dyslexia and Dysgraphia so she understands that having a child with unique needs can be both a gift and a challenge. Vanessa’s lived experiences as a mother and psychologist have given her insight into the journey many parents find themselves navigating with their child.
